Costa Almeria
The territory of Almeria is situated in the south-east of the Iberian Peninsula on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea; its entire annex covers 8,774 square kilometers which has the vast geographical varieties. Like any other coastal areas of Spain, the Costa Almeria too is the diverse coast of Spain. The Costa Almeria is totally un-spoilt till now. The rocky and deserted coast of the Cabo de Gata – Nijar Natural Park is situated to the eastern side of Almeria, which is the barren deserted landscape due to the scarce annual rainfall of below 200mm. the area is therefore, thinly populated having a few villages and remarkably lower population density.
Visitors usually try to explore the area here because most of the bays could only be reached on foot. Also the area is rather liked the most by the nature lovers and hikers. One of the most known such villages is called San Jose.
Roquetas de Mar and Aguadulce are the most developed tourist resorts located in the west of Costa de Almeria that have all the amenities of any contemporary resort that support the package holiday markets. However, on the northern front of the Costa de Almeria are the beaches of Vera where numerous new complexes are already under construction now. A bit further on the southern side, is Mojacar which effectively coalesce the renowned beach holiday with the hillside white village that the tourists love exploring. We can also find the upcoming complexes of Almeria with Marinas, Golf, Hotels and many other such amenities on the western side. The ancient fishing port town of Adra is situated on the further west.
